StudyStream
StudyStream runs 24/7 online focus rooms: live video grids where hundreds of students and professionals work on camera at once, mics off. Unlike Focusmate there is no booking and no partner, you just join a room and work in silent company. It is body doubling at crowd scale, and the core rooms are free.

What it's like
You open the app, pick a focus room and appear in a grid of people silently working, at most hours several hundred of them across time zones. There is no greeting ritual and no debrief, so the accountability is ambient rather than personal: quieter pressure than a booked one-to-one, but zero friction to start, which matters at 11pm when a scheduled session is not an option.
Who it suits
- Students who work best in library atmosphere but cannot get to one.
- People who find one-to-one video sessions socially heavy but like being seen working.
- Night workers: the rooms genuinely never empty.
